The Sandpiper is discreetly one of the most awarded luxury hotels in Barbados. BABYSITTING

Babysitting service is US $7.50 per hour during the day and US$12.50 per hour at night. Minimum of US$25.00 per day or night.

BABY EQUIPMENT

There is limited baby equipment available upon request, at no additional charge: cribs, high chairs, child bed guards, play pens, hot plates, bottle sterilizing tablets, children’s books, baby monitors, crib mosquito nets and kettles.

FAMILY PROGRAMME

We have designed a special family program for children between the ages of 2 and 12 years. Three half hour sailing trips with our watersports team and three half hour swimming lessons are available between the dates of: 30 May and 21 August 2021.

CHILD FREE PERIOD

Children are not accommodated between 20 January and 28 February.

DINING

Children’s room service dinner is available between 5.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m., to be ordered with the Maitre D’ by noon.  It can be served either on your patio or on the Restaurant Terrace prior to 7.00 pm. For younger babies, the Chef is happy to prepare blended food (fresh vegetables etc). Kindly note, children under 5 years of age are permitted in the restaurant up until 7.00 pm. Should your young child become restless or noisy whilst in the restaurant, we ask for your kind consideration, and request that you take them for a brief walk.

SPORTS

Older children will enjoy the complimentary non-motorised watersports including snorkelling, kayaking, Laser and Hobie Cat sailing and paddle boarding.  They may also enjoy the daily tennis clinic with our resident Tennis Pro.

The Beach – fine white sand, crystal clear waters and shady trees to rest under. For those who like to wander you can stroll in either direction.
The Pools – The original pool is located next to the main bar and the Uber trendy lap pool is located in the gardens with Harold’s Bar close at hand.
The Spa – is located at Coral Reef Club. Air conditioned transportation is provided to and from the spa.
The Boutique – is located at Coral Reef Club just a 5 minute walk up the beach
TV & Computer Room – TVs and DVDs can also be placed in guests’ rooms on request.

Fitness Centre – a range of modern equipment to keep you in shape.
Tennis – 2 floodlit tennis courts available for both day and night use.

All of the 50 rooms and suites are individually decorated with ceiling fans, air-conditioning and have fridges, toasters, iPod dock, wall safes and hairdryers. They have either king size or twin beds. All rooms and suites have lovely vistas, overlooking the gardens, pool or Caribbean Sea.

The Garden View Rooms consists of a king size or twin bedded room, bathroom and patio or balcony.

ONE BEDROOM SUITES (23)

The One Bedroom Suites consists of a king size or twin bedded room, bathroom, separate living room with sofa bed, kitchen and patio or balcony.
Max capacity 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children under 12 years.

TWO BEDROOM SUITES

The Two Bedroom Suites are a combination of a One Bedroom Suite and a Garden Room. They are very spacious, consisting of two king size or twin bedded rooms, two bathrooms, a separate living room with sofa bed, kitchen and a large patio or balcony.
Max capacity 5 people.

TREE TOP SUITES (2)

The Tree Top Suites are amongst The Sandpiper’s most luxurious accommodations. They each consist of a bedroom, spacious living room, dressing area and a luxurious bathroom with a large walk-in shower and separate tub; all air-conditioned.
There is a large covered terrace complete with wet bar and complimentary starter bar (selection of spirits and soft drinks). There is also an open sundeck with a plunge pool. Featured in the living room is a media centre for television, movies and music.  These suites both have views of the sea.
Max capacity 2 people. Children under the age of 12 years are not permitted.

BEACH HOUSE SUITES (2)

The ocean front Beach House Suites consist of a large covered patio with wet bar and sun deck. There is a separate living room with sofa bed and media centre for television, films and music, a bedroom with king size bed, dressing area and bathroom. These suites are connected by way of a common entry hall and a moveable wall on the patio, making ideal accommodation for families or friends. They can also connect with Tree Top Suite ‘Curlew’ to become a three bedroom villa.
Max capacity 3 people or 2 adults and 2 children under 12 years.

TOP SUITE “CURLEW”

Tree Top Suite ‘Curlew’ is The Sandpiper’s premier accommodation.  It is located on the ocean front and has an uninterrupted view of the sea.  It consists of a bedroom, spacious living room, dressing area and a luxurious bathroom with a large walk-in shower and separate tub – all air-conditioned.
There is a large covered terrace complete with wet bar and complimentary starter bar (selection of spirits and soft drinks).  There is also an open sundeck with a plunge pool.  Featured in the living room is a media centre for television, films and music.  Children under the age of 12 years are not permitted in this suite.
Curlew is larger than the other two Tree Top Suites with a larger plunge pool and it contains a powder room for guests visiting the suite.   The bedroom can convert from king to twin beds if required.  This suite has the capability to connect with the two Beach House Suites to become a three bedroom villa.
